The theme of the Shanghai Urban Space Art Season in 2021 is "15-Minute Community Life Circle-People's City". The theme deduction exhibition is located in the Shangsheng·Xinsuo of Xinhua Community. It will be opened on September 25, 2021 simultaneously with the art season activities.
The theme deduction exhibition is divided into three sections: "15-minute community life circle·people’s city", “community·metaspace”, and “cell plan·sub-relationship”. Six community meta-spaces are implanted with seven public art works, which fully reflect the diversity, characteristics and growth of the community.

"Shangsheng·New Office"
Shangsheng·Xinsuo is not only the newest fashion landmark in the magic capital, but also a classic case of urban renewal. Based on the overall protection of historical buildings, the park updates its internal functions. The famous Sunke Villa has become a cultural space for various exhibitions, the Columbia Country Club has been transformed into the most popular Takuya Bookstore, the Navy Club has become a show venue for various fashion and cultural and artistic activities, and the rest of the buildings have been transformed into Various functions such as business commerce, cultural creativity, community service, etc.
Through diversified urban renewal strategies, Shangsheng Xinsuo also provided the community with public spaces such as fountain squares, tree gardens, swimming pool verandas, and created a good community living atmosphere. It is a living example of the construction of a 15-minute community living circle.
The theme deduction exhibition of this year's art season chose Shangsheng Xinsuo as the exhibition venue, fully considering the preservation of the characteristics and beautiful environment of the historic district, and at the same time implanting small and scattered, flexible and smooth, and diverse styles of exhibition spaces and art works. Citizens participating in the exhibition can not only taste the historical features and the enlightenment of modern public art, but also experience the pyrotechnic daily life scenes.
Aspect 2: Shanghai practices
"15-minute community life circle"
In October 2014, at the first World City Day Forum held in Shanghai, the basic concept of "15-minute community living circle" was proposed. In 2016, the Shanghai 2035 master plan proposed the overall goal of building a 15-minute community living circle, and simultaneously launched the "Shanghai 15-minute community living circle planning guidelines." In 2021, the Ministry of Natural Resources will organize the Shanghai Urban Planning and Design Institute and other units to compile the "Community Living Circle Planning Technical Guide" and promulgate it for implementation. For more than six years, the "15-minute community living circle" has been continuously promoted and practiced in Shanghai, accumulated rich experience, and forged an indissoluble bond with Shanghai.
"15-Minute Community Life Circle-People's City" is the theme of this art season, and the theme deduction exhibition, as the name suggests, is to let everyone understand the "15 Minute Community Life Circle". As the main curatorial team of this theme deduction exhibition, Shanghai Urban Planning and Design Institute will showcase the concept deduction, case display and scene experience of the community life circle to the public from a professional perspective.
Concept interpretation
Through the theme animation, explain to the public the three questions of "Why do you want to build a community life circle", "What is a community life circle", and "How do you do a community life circle". The animation is divided into five chapters: "idea", "livable and suitable for business", "suitable for travel", "suitable for learning and supporting", and "six total articles".

"Community·Metaspace"
This theme deduction exhibition invited Yuan Feng, a professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University, as the chief architect, Shanghai Yizao Technology Co., Ltd. as the intelligent construction team, and Shanghai Fengyuzhu Culture Technology Co., Ltd. as the digital exhibition team. Within a very short construction period, six types of community meta-spaces, "Communicate", "Connect", "Cycling", "Enjoy Comfort", "Art Culture" and "Cloud Cloud" were created, and a variety of urban public spaces that can be deployed quickly and flexibly Activity carrier template.
Main Hall of Communicate
The main hall is named "Gong", using the strip space of the parking lot of the Shangsheng Xinsuo to house a topological curved building with digital wooden craftsmanship. Spiral skylights and transparent glass facade contrast with the navy club on the opposite side. On the side facing the square, the curved surface is deformed and sunk to provide a set of outdoor terraces, reflecting the publicity and interaction of the building.
Sub-library Rong Connect
The auxiliary hall is named "Rong", which means connection and integration, using digital wooden structure and robot 3D printing technology, through the flow of curved surface form changes, to construct an immersive exhibition space.
Community Box: Active Cycling, Enjoy Comfort, Art Culture
The community box is named "movement", "enjoy" and "art", corresponding to the movement, communication, and cultural life in the community. Using a modular construction system, community facilities, smart screens, environmental control devices, solar panels and other high-tech integrated products are integrated into an integrated product through 3D printed wall panels, which become the carrier of activities in the 15-minute living circle of contemporary cities.
3D printing art installation Cloud Cloud
The 3D printing art installation is named "Cloud", which uses the construction robot cloud 3D space printing technology to transform the abstract city outline into a semi-transparent pixelated grid, and presents the dynamic form of the urban skyline through the density changes of the grid. .
Aspect 4: Art Feast
"Cell Project·Sub-Relationship"
This theme performance exhibition invited Shen Lieyi, a famous sculptor and teacher of the School of Sculpture and Public Art of China Academy of Art as the art curator, and convened Su Chang, Zhang Quan, David Gostein (Israel), Lin Shu Chuan + Hard Work Workshop+ Seven works by well-known artists at home and abroad, including the 24-hour Art Museum, Cai Lei, Valerie Guttad (France), are displayed at the Shangsheng New Institute, allowing you to enjoy the "community life circle" while at the same time. Among them, there is a group of artworks on the square opposite the main hall, created by Shanghai young artist Su Chang, named Sheshi. The work draws on the abstract freehand expression of natural elements in the traditional Chinese landscape view, and promotes higher and deeper exchanges between people and nature, and between people.
